Report: Braxton Miller to announce plans next week

Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller updated his Twitter followers on his health Wednesday night. “Successful check up/visit w Kevin & Andrews!” Miller wrote, adding a smiley face to the end of the sentence. Kevin is Kevin Wilk, a physical therapist with Champion Sports Medicine in Birmingham, Ala. Andrews is Dr. James Andrews, the famed surgeon in Birmingham who performed shoulder surgery on Miller last August. The Wayne High School graduate Miller later told Tim May, of the Columbus Dispatch, he would discuss his immediate plans next week. Ohio State coach Urban Meyer and Athletic Director Gene Smith have said they expect Miller to play for the Buckeyes in 2015, his final season of eligibility, and compete for the starting job with Cardale Jones and J.T. Barrett. Miller, who missed the entire 2014 season because of a shoulder injury, could transfer and play immediately because he has already graduated.
