Yahoo Sports reports the Buckeyes’ coach told fans at a youth camp that Braxton Miller and J.T. Barrett were close to being completely healed from last season’s injuries. They’ll battle it out with Cardale Jones in what will be a nationally watched competition that even Las Vegas is keeping tabs on. Meanwhile, the National Football Post has taken a look at how Miller might project to the NFL. Its writer isn’t so high on his prospects even though he thinks the signal caller could have a Heisman-like season this year. And then there’s this: Alabama Coach Nick Saban flew in former OSU offensive coordinator Tom Herman to tell him how the Buckeyes attacked the Crimson Tide’s defense during the College Football Playoffs. The Fox Sports story says Alabama players didn’t respect Jones because he was a third-stringer.
