Ohio State Is Running Away With Maxwell Award Watch List

Yes, it is [insert award here] watch list season, where it feels and seems like every college football player ever is being “watched” for some sort of award. However, the Maxwell – the poor man’s Heisman, if you will – is an interesting watch list, as it tracks those who are projected to be the best player in the nation. After all, the Maxwell Award is “presented annually to the nation’s top player,” according to the organization that runs the award. What’s interesting on the list though is how dominating one school is: The Ohio State University. The OSU Buckeyes put four players on the list, which is more than any other team in college football. Interestingly enough though, all three of OSU’s quarterbacks were listed on the watchlist, as well as stud running back Ezekiel Elliot.
