Michigan State Picked to Finish 2nd in B1G East – Today’s U

In the Big Ten Conference, it looks like it’s the Ohio State Buckeyes and everyone else. At least that is what numerous sportswriters are saying, and they put their feelings into print on cleveland.com’s annual poll. The Buckeyes were unanimously chosen by 40 voters to win the Big Ten and cruise right back into the College Football Playoff. They earned every first-place vote in the East Division. The Michigan State Spartans made an impact as the definitive runner-up in the poll, garnering every second-place vote within the same division. Wisconsin received 32 of 40 first-place votes to emerge as the heavy favorite in the West Division, followed by Nebraska with five first-place votes and Minnesota with three first-place votes. It is the fifth year of the poll. The Big Ten does not conduct its own poll anymore, doing it for the last time in 2011. The poll, though is not bulletproof.
