The preseason hype for the Ohio State football team has officially begun. The Buckeyes, 14-1 and winners of the first College Football Playoff last season, are No. 1 in USA Today’s Amway Coaches poll, released July 30. OSU was No. 1 on 62 of 64 ballots. No. 2 TCU and No. 3 Alabama each received one first-place vote. The Buckeyes will attempt to be the first team since 2004 USC to start and finish the season at No. 1.
