Graham Rahal shows off sharp Ohio State helmet for weekend race

Graham Rahal is second in the IndyCar standings with three races remaining on the schedule. He’s hoping that linking himself to the college football national champions will help him overtake Juan Pablo Montoya. MORE: Preseason Top 25 | Top 15 since 2000 | Top 10 all-time Buckeyes Rahal showed off his new helmet paint scheme for this weekend’s race at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Oho. “I had this concept that, with Ohio State having won the national championship and us being in the championship battle here, it would be fun to come home and do something I haven’t done before,” Rahal told Tim May of the Columbus Dispatch. “This thing, it is very accurate.” The helmet features Rahal’s number (15), same as Ohio State star running back Ezekiel Elliott and 18 Buckeye leaves for each of Rahal’s career victories, May noted. Rahal even had a little fun with NFL Network host Rich Eisen, a Michigan and Northwestern graduate.
