Now, the Big Ten is home to the defending national champion in Ohio State. The Buckeyes were ranked No. 1 when the Amway Coaches Poll was released Thursday. The Big Ten is certainly relevant again. But can the rest of the conference keep up with Urban Meyer’s pace? A glance at the 2016 recruiting rankings would suggest not. Recruiting rankings may not mean everything (the rest of the Big Ten hopes), but Ohio State is cleaning up. A few numbers to consider: • Ohio State currently has 19 commitments in the 2016 class.
