Jones: Buckeyes "Adapt and Prepare" amid Suspensions

(Csaba Sukosd) — If anyone knows what it takes to step up, it’s Ohio State’s national championship winning quarterback Cardale Jones. With four Buckeyes suspended for the season opener at Virginia Tech on Labor Day, (DE Joey Bosa, H-Backs Jalin Marshall & Dontre Wilson, & WR Corey Smith) the news wasn’t new to the program. “As a team we know what was coming, because it happened earlier in the year,” he said while attending Cleveland Browns training camp on Saturday. The former third-string quarterback added that the Buckeyes will have to do what they did last season en route to the inaugural College Football Playoff Championship. “We kind of learn how to adapt and prepare. You know, it’s the next man up mentality,” he said. Jones said he might attend next Friday’s Browns scrimmage at Ohio Stadium, which will feature Ohio State alums Terrelle Pryor, Donte Whitner, and Brian Hartline.
