Ohio State fairly healthy after one week of camp

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer did not need much time to go over the list of Buckeyes dealign with injuries as they head into their second week of preseason camp.

Wide receiver Dontre Wilson missed some time last week after aggravating a foot injury that knocked him out for most of November last season while cornerback Marshon Lattimore missed two days of practice with a sore hamstring.

“We might get (Wilson) back Monday, Tuesday this week,” Meyer said. “Marshon Lattimore is dealing with a little bit of a hamstring right now, again. We’re hoping to get him back this week, as well.”

Wilson’s absence at the end of last season opened the door for Jalin Marshall to become the team’s No. 1 slot receiver, but both are suspended for the season opener against Virginia Tech. Who becomes the No. 1 option as the hybrid running back/receiver in Meyer’s spread offense after week one remains to be seen, but both will have to fight off converted quarterback Braxton Miller as well as a handful of youngsters vying for playing time.
