Kelsey Mitchell and Ohio State to play UConn Nov. 16 on ESPN2

Ohio State sophomore guard Kelsey Mitchell, a 2014 Princeton High School graduate, and her teammates will play the reigning three-time NCAA Division I national champion UConn Huskies Nov. 16 in Columbus. The game is part of ESPN’s Eighth Annual College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon.

The preseason No. 13-ranked Buckeyes host No. 1 UConn at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 16 on ESPN2. It will be the season opener for UConn. Ohio State plays at South Carolina in its season opener on Nov. 13.

Mitchell, the U.S. Basketball Writers Association 2015 National Freshman of the Year this past season, was the first freshman to lead the country in scoring at 24.9 points per game and she scored an Ohio State and Big Ten record 873 points.
