(Image Source: Al Goldis/Associated Press) Here’s a look at three of Michigan State’s key games for the 2015 season: Big Ten Football Preview: Ohio State Swing, Trap & Game of the Year Swing Game: November 21 @ Michigan We could easily go with the visit from Oregon…a Week 2 win over the Ducks would certainly catapult the Spartans up the polls and into the thick of the College Football Playoff conversation. However, as we saw with Ohio State last season, Michigan State could recover from an early season non-conference loss if they run the table in the final 10 games. What would hurt them and their playoff chances more would be a conference loss, especially against their hated in-state rival. This contest is not just a swing game for Sparty for this season, but potentially for years to come. They’ve won six of the past eight against Michigan with Mark Dantonio as headman and they’re coming off consecutive butt whippings of their former big brothers, a combined score of 64-17. A loss to the Wolverines wouldn’t only set them back in the Big Ten East division race, but also send a message that maybe their time as the kings of the state has come to an end. Dantonio owned Rich Rodriguez and Brady Hoke, how well will he fare against Jim Harbaugh? Wouldn’t you love to see those to go head-to-head in a scowl off?
