Wearing blue to Urban Meyer’s class punishable by pushups, Ohio State students learn

ANN ARBOR — Even though he costs $5.9 million for the year, Ohio State certainly is getting its money’s worth from Urban Meyer. Not only is the Buckeyes’ coach 38–3 overall in three seasons, including last year’s national championship champaign, but he also teaches a class at the university. That’s right, meet Professor Meyer. Apparently sticking with what he knows, Meyer teaches “Coaching Football” to whatever students are lucky enough to land in the class. (We imagine it’s fairly popular.) Some of those students, however, are already looking for extra credit. According to an Instagram post Monday by Ohio State assistant coach Tony Alford, Meyer handed out some stiff penalties for some undergrads who arrived at class wearing blue shirts, the hated hue of rival Michigan. After gathering the students at the front of the room, Meyer made them do pushups. Apparently lessons are learned the hard way in Professor Meyer’s class. Brendan F.
