Urban Meyer: Ohio State will play both quarterbacks in 2015

Ohio State coach Urban Meyer said after practice Tuesday the Buckeyes will use both J.T. Barrett and Cardale Jones during the 2015 season. “I would anticipate that throughout the course of year we’ll play both quarterbacks,” Meyer told reporters. Ohio State finished the 2014 season with three talented, experienced quarterbacks capable of starting in 2015. In July, senior Braxton Miller, who has played 36 games at quarterback, announced he would switch to wide receiver. Redshirt sophomore J.T. Barrett and redshirt junior Cardale Jones are now both expected to take snaps this upcoming season, although Meyer has yet to name a starter. • ELLIS: Projections for College Football Playoff, every bowl game Last season, Barrett completed 64.6% of his passes, combining for 45 passing and rushing touchdowns.
