Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones was taken to the hospital Wednesday night with a migraine, reports ElevenWarriors.com. A family member told Tony Zarrella of Cleveland 19 News that Jones was rushed to the hospital “with severe head pain” and that he was still undergoing tests as of Wednesday night. ElevenWarriors.com later reported that Jones was “resting and should be good” after receiving treatment, and that the hospital visit was precautionary. Jones, 23 this month, is entering his junior season at Ohio State. After the Buckeyes sustained injuries to top quarterbacks Braxton Miller and J.T. Barrett last season, Jones led Ohio State to wins in the Big Ten Championship against Wisconsin, Sugar Bowl against Alabama and College Football Playoff championship against Oregon. With Miller moving to H-back, the Buckeyes entered fall camp with Barrett and Jones competing for the starting quarterback role. Head coach Urban Meyer said he would not reveal the starter before Ohio State’s Sept. 7 season opener at Virginia Tech.
