Ohio State football notes: Joey Bosa happy to be back

COLUMBUS — Joey Bosa was just glad to be back. A week after sitting out the season-opener because of a one-game suspension, the All-American defensive end from Ohio State was back were he wanted to be on Sept. 12. The one tackle and one assist Bosa accumulated against Hawaii didn’t jump off the page, but to him it didn’t matter. The Buckeyes won and he was part of it, not sitting at home babysitting Ezekiel Elliott’s puppy like he did last week when the Buckeyes were opening their season at Virginia Tech. “Obviously, missing a week sucks,” Bosa said after OSU’s 38-0 win over Hawaii. “Not because you’re missing it, but because you’re not out there with your guys. I was really excited to get out here and play this week.
