Ohio State ‘would run through the SEC,’ Colin Cowherd says Monday

Colin Cowherd didn’t mince words.

The FOX Sports broadcaster, formerly of ESPN, said he was tired of hearing SEC fans criticize or question defending national champion Ohio State’s schedule and that he “would take the Buckeyes to fly through that conference this year.”

“They would run through the SEC,” Cowherd said Monday on his “The Herd show. “They would dominate. They have two NFL quarterbacks. The quarterback play in the SEC, outside of Texas A&M, is hot garbage. Outside of that Kyle Allen kid — Auburn, awful; Alabama, pedestrian; Georgia, weak; LSU, historically weak. You’ve gotta stop complaining.”

Cowherd further explained that rules in modern NCAA football favor offenses and praised Urban Meyer over Nick Saban, not because he’s a better coach than the Alabama coach in a vacuum, but because he’s better within that contest.
