Through two games, Braxton Miller has touched the ball 18 times for No. 1 Ohio State.
Urban Meyer talked as if that is not enough when he addressed reporters Wednesday night.
“It’s usually a double-digit number” Meyer replied when asked how many times he would like to see Miller get the ball on average, though he acknowledged that can be affected by the flow of the game.
“You can tell when a guy’s hot, that fire, so that’s how we determined that,” Meyer said.
Of course, getting the ball to playmakers is a common talking point among football coaches, and sometimes it is easier said than down. Defenses can do things to take away receivers, but through the course of his career Meyer has proven to be among the most adept in the country at creatively involving talented speedsters like Miller.
