College football AP Top 25 Poll: Ohio State, Michigan State on top of the world

The Big Ten might not be littered with teams in Sunday’s AP Top 25 poll, but the writers believe the conference has to the two best teams in the country. Photo by Andrew Weber/Getty Images The Ohio State Buckeyes kept their 16 game winning streak alive, remaining the No.1 team in the country. However, they haven’t been close to dominant in their last two wins. Consequently, the Buckeyes no longer have a stranglehold on first place votes. Now the Buckeyes only garner 42 first place votes, while Big Ten foe Michigan State received seven first place votes. The remaining 12 first place votes went to the SEC, with Ole Miss receiving 11, and LSU receiving one first place vote. The Michigan State Spartans jumped all the to No.2, leaping over TCU. As long as the Spartans and the Buckeyes keep winning, the top two teams will have a showdown in late November. Is there a chance for the Big Ten to get two teams in the College Football Playoff?
