Akron artist creates custom Ohio State football helmet for little boy with ‘flat head syndrome’

AKRON, Ohio – An Akron graphic designer is getting a lot of attention online for creating a custom helmet for a little boy with a medical condition. Six-month-old Rowan was born prematurely with Plagiocephaly, also known as flat head syndrome, which requires him to wear a helmet 23 hours a day.  Unfortunately, the helmet wasn’t exactly stylish, so Ryan from RockEveryWear—a fashion truck based out of Akron—stepped in to help. ? Since it’s now Buckeye football season, Ryan decided to create an Ohio State University football helmet for Rowan. ? It took two days to complete but it was well worth the work. Now Rowan looks just like the rest of the Buckeyes—like a champion. View more photos from RockEveryWear here.
