College football AP Top 25 Poll: Ohio State Buckeyes struggling as No.1 team

The first weekend in October produced a lot of wild results across the landscape of college football. Therefore, the colossal shakeup in Sunday’s AP Top 25 Poll wasn’t surprising. However, some of the same teams, received the benefit of the doubt, while other teams were penalized for their uneven play. The No.1 Ohio State Buckeyes remained on top, after defeating the Indiana Hoosiers by seven points. Still, the Buckeyes lead in the AP Top 25 Poll is dwindling each week. After starting the season with all the first place votes, the Buckeyes only received 38 first place votes this week. The No.2 TCU Horned Frogs jumped two spots this weekend. The Horned Frogs have been dropped in the rankings repeatedly this season, but their 50-7 win over Texas must have felt impressed the AP voters. Last week, they were No.4 in the country, now they’re receiving five first place votes. The No.3 Baylor Bears trounced Texas Tech on Saturday, and moved up two spots as well. …
