Ohio State To Wear All-Black Alternate Uniforms Against Penn State

On October 17, Penn State and Ohio State will add another chapter to their storied rivalry under the lights in Columbus, Ohio. For the first time in the Buckeyes’ history, however, they’ll be wearing black. Nike and the Ohio State athletic department announced this weekend that the Buckeyes will wear brand-new alternates for the primetime matchup with the Nittany Lions. Nike released this statement on the uniforms: “Today, Nike and The Ohio State University football team unveil the first-ever black Buckeyes uniform. The head-to-toe look, which is punctuated by scarlet numbers outlined in gray, characterizes the unyielding confidence of the eight-time national champions. The Buckeyes will wear the alternate uniform at home against Penn State on October 17.”   Ohio State SID Jerry Emig tweeted a better photo of the jerseys on Saturday.
