Ohio State Buckeyes are overrated, but they are not alone

We often react to sports and teams with a snapshot, just as we do in our weekly College Football Playoff Projections and conference power rankings. They are often the result of not only how a team has played throughout the season, but also a week by week reaction to what was displayed over a weekend.Some things are impossible to ignore. When teams continually underachieve, or are rewarded after one impressive win (just look at Ole Miss after beating Alabama) people tend see things differently. It reminds us that maybe we should look deeper into a situation and form opinions not influenced by main stream media and message boards. Here are five examples of overrated teams in week 6 of the season. 1) Ohio State Buckeyes: AP ranking 1 Amway/Coaches ranking 1 They are the defending CFP Champions and are 5-0 on the season. While I do think they are in the conversation for one of the coveted four spots that get you in the mix for the national championship, they are not the best team in the nation after 5 weeks of play. Therefore, they headline this week’s 5 overrated teams list. 2) Florida Gators: AP Ranking 11 Amway/Coaches Ranking 12 Florida is playing out of their minds right now. I don’t think anyone expected Jim McElwain would be able to turn the program around as quickly as he has. At the same time, people are buying into them being an elite program just as quickly…
