Ohio State wary of Maryland return man

William Likely has two punt return touchdowns this season. Jeremy Brevard / USA Today Sports Saturday will match strength on strength when Ohio State has to punt.  The Buckeyes are No. 1 in the Big Ten and 10th nationally in net punting (a 41.9-yard average) and the average return they have allowed (2.5 yards) is second in the Big Ten and 18th nationally.  Meanwhile, Ohio State coach Urban Meyer told reporters Wednesday night, “They have exceptional athletes at the offensive skill positions, (and) I see the best punt returner in America, a guy we have to get on the ground.”  That return man would be Will Likely.  He is fourth in the nation and No. 1 in the Big Ten with an average of 24.0 yards per punt return.  Likely took a pair of punts back for touchdowns in the first two weeks of the season, giving him four punt return touchdowns for his career.  He also returned a kickoff for a score last season.  A standout cornerback despite being listed at only 5-foot-7, Likely also has two career interception returns for touchdowns.  (H/T Scout.com)
