Maryland and Randy Edsall enter Ohio State game under fire

It’s surely not the Ohio homecoming Maryland linebacker Jalen Brooks had planned. The sophomore, who was born in Cleveland, has been named a team captain for Saturday’s game at No. 1 Ohio State and spent part of the week trying to scoop up as many tickets as possible for relatives.But any focus on the Terrapins trying to defy long odds against a somewhat vulnerable juggernaut has shifted to speculation over whether it will be the final game of Coach Randy Edsall’s tenure. Maryland is considering firing Edsall but has not settled on a timetable, a person with knowledge of the situation said Thursday.
