Maryland is considering firing Edsall, although it moved forward with a soft endorsement of the coach on Thursday and made clear he will be on the sideline Saturday in Columbus. Maryland will be a 34-point underdog and enters the game with a slew of issues. It has erratic quarterback play and the Big Ten’s worst rushing defense, a recipe for disaster against the No. 1 Buckeyes. But Edsall’s status will be front and center during and after Saturday’s game, which could very well be his last at Maryland.
