Defensive end Roman Braglio out for Maryland football vs. Ohio State

Mitch Stringer-USA TODAY Sports Jesse Aniebonam starts in Braglio’s place. Maryland starting defensive end Roman Braglio has mononucleosis and won’t play for the Terrapins against Ohio State on Saturday, reports the Baltimore Sun Media Group’s Daniel Gallen. Maryland DE Roman Braglio (mono) is out today. Jesse Aniebonam will start in his place. — Daniel Gallen (@danieljtgallen) October 10, 2015 Jesse Aniebonam will start in his place, and Chandler Burkett will back up Aniebonam. Braglio is a big loss, although mainly for depth reasons because Aniebonam is a strong replacement. Braglio has two sacks and 4.5 tackles per loss this year, both figures that rate near the top of Maryland’s roster. Aniebonam has mostly played on passing downs, but he’s still racked up two sacks and three TFLs. Playing across from end Yannick Ngakoue, Aniebonam should give Maryland a strong tandem against Buckeyes offensive tackles Chase Farris and Taylor Decker. The Terps and Buckeyes kick off at noon at Ohio Stadium in Columbus. Follow along here for updates.
