Michigan State Football: Spartans seniors seek first win in big house

Connor Cook has won a lot of games as a Spartan. He defeated the Ohio State Buckeyes in a Big Ten Championship game. He knocked off the Stanford Cardinal to win the Rose Bowl. He has torched the Michigan Wolverines — twice — in his own backyard, and he lead a comeback for the ages against the Baylor Bears after being down 20 points in the fourth quarter of the Cotton Bowl. The fifth year senior has been through the gauntlet and back, and while he hasn’t come up victorious every time, 29 victories and only three defeats isn’t a bad resume. Jim Harbaugh said as much in his press conference on Monday. That says it all.” Cook does have an outstanding record, and every bit of it has come over the past two-and-a-half seasons. He picked up MSU’s first ever victory against Nebraska, on the road, in Lincoln, in 2013. He defeated the Iowa Hawkeyes in a hostile Kinnick Stadium the week after being benched when he lost to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, sparking the Rose Bowl run of 2013. He even dominated the Penn State Nittany Lions in Happy Valley, ruining Senior Day. …
