Penn State Football: How the Lions can upset Ohio State

Most of the nation wrote off Penn State after its season opening loss against Temple, but the Nittany Lions can put themselves back on the map this weekend. The Nittany Lions (5-1, 2-0 Big Ten) travel to face No. 1 Ohio State (6-0, 2-0 Big Ten) on Saturday night and hope to upset the defending national champions. While the loss against Temple deflated Penn State’s hopes of making this a matchup of 6-0 rivals under the lights, a win would vault Penn State back into the national spotlight. The Lions are hungry to prove they are much more than the team that got bruised and battered in Philadelphia, but they’ll have to earn it this weekend. Ohio State hung 28 unanswered points on Maryland last week after the Terps pulled even with the Buckeyes at 21-21 just after halftime. Penn State comes in off an impressive performance in their commanding 29-7 win over Indiana, who took Ohio State to the brink just a week before. James Franklin and his team have said all the right things this week and the team prepped for a “Dark Night”(Ohio State will be wearing black uniforms) Ohio State crowd by pumping noise into their practices all week.
