Rutgers major underdog for Saturday’s game vs. No. 1 Ohio State

Rutgers pulled off a minor upset on Saturday, beating Indiana, 55-52. The Scarlet Knights were 6.5-point underdogs and trailed by 25 points late in the third quarter before scoring the final 28 points to escape Memorial Stadium with a victory.

The Knights face much longer odds in their next game when No. 1 Ohio State comes to High Point Solutions Stadium. The Buckeyes have opened as 20.5-point favorites for the prime-time showdown, according to vegasinsider.com.

The Buckeyes have been heavy favorites in every game this season, but have covered the spread only twice.

Rutgers will have a chance to shock the world — or at least the country — with the 8 p.m. kickoff broadcast nationally by ABC. This will be the first Rutgers home game in program history to be broadcast nationally on ABC.
