Why Ohio State should be No. 1 in first College Football Playoff Rankings

A case for No. 1: LSU | TCU | Baylor | Clemson Poll fatigue is a naturally occurring phenomenon. Coming into every college football season, the collective hive mind of college football fans and media members think they know who the best team is, and this is reflected in the preseason polls. Then those same people spend the rest of the season looking for any reason to not rank that team No. 1 anymore. Coming into this season, for the first time in history, Ohio State was a unanimous selection as the No. 1 team in the country. It was coming off a national title season that saw it lay waste to teams like Michigan State, Wisconsin, Alabama and Oregon en route to its championship.
