Ohio State safety Vonn Bell’s big season continues with Big Ten award

Vonn Bell is having a big season for Ohio State. Greg Bartram / USA Today Sports Nov 9, 2015 at 6:18p ET Vonn Bell’s second defensive touchdown of the season helped him earn his first-ever Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week honor.  The award was announced Monday, two days after Bell returned an interception 16 yards for the first touchdown in Ohio State’s 28-14 win over Minnesota at Ohio Stadium.  Bell also had 10 tackles against the Golden Gophers.  His first touchdown of the year came on a fumble return against Hawaii in the second game of the season.  The choice of Bell ends a drought of more than a year for Ohio State as far as Big Ten DPOW. The last time the honor went to a Buckeye was Oct. 27, 2014, when it was claimed by Joey Bosa.  View Comments Hide Comments Send feedback on ournew story page Ohio State safety Vonn Bell’s big season continues with Big Ten award UP NEXT : Send feedback on ournew story page
