OSU vs. Illinois

• Today at 6:30 AMIt’s back to “normal’’ for the Ohio State Buckeyes who are on the road at Illinois Saturday. It is a battle for the Illibuck trophy. Quarterback J.T. Barrett, after serving a one-game suspension, is back at helm for the Buckeyes. OSU, after what some will say was a lackluster 28-14 win over Minnesota last Saturday, dropped to second in the poll. But the most important rating now is the College Football Playoff and the Buckeyes didn’t move from its third spot. After the Fighting Illini, OSU hosts Michigan State, goes to Michigan and possibly will play the Big Ten Championship Game — presumbly against Iowa. If the Buckeyes wins those three, then  OSU should get into the top four in the CFP for a second straight season. But don’t take Illinois lightly. Remember in 2007, Illinois came to Columbus and quarterback Juice Williams played the game of his life and the Fighting Illini picked up a 28-21, dethroning the top-ranked Buckeyes.
