Ohio State coach Urban Meyer revealed on ESPN’s College GameDay that Clinton issued a special challenge to the Ohio State roster. “First of all, he’s a friend, and second of all, he’s a football nut. Obviously an Arkansas Razorback, but I met him several years ago. We’ve talked several times, he called after the national championship, and he came to visit with us and his message was profound, especially in these trying times. He told the people, our players, that your generation — with the social media, with the technology — you can use it [to do] very destructive things, the unfortunate and incredible things happening overseas, or you can use it for greatness. And that’s maybe helped people that … he gave an example of these impoverished fishermen that, because of the Internet, now they’re living a good life. He really challenged our guys about [a] much bigger picture than football.” Clinton also took the time to pose for a fantastic photo with Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott.
