Mark Dantonio says Michigan State football needs its best to beat Ohio State

Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio says nothing less than the best will do if the Spartans are to upset Ohio State and end the longest regular-season conference win streak in NCAA history at 30 games. The defending national champion Buckeyes (10-0, 6-0 Big Ten) also have the nation’s longest active overall win streak at 23 games entering today’s 3:30 p.m. game (TV: ABC) with No. 9 MSU (9-1, 5-1). The Buckeyes are ranked No. 2 in The Associated Press poll and No. 3 in the College Football Playoff rankings. “I think we have the talent to play with the top teams in the country,” said Dantonio, whose Spartans have won five of their past six games against top 10 ranked competition including a 34-24 win over then-No. 2 Ohio State in the 2013 Big Ten championship game. “I don’t think we have played our best game yet, where we’re hitting on all cylinders,” Dantonio said. …
