Ohio State’s Ezekiel Elliott releases statement following postgame comments

Ezekiel Elliott’s comments created a media firestorm Saturday night. Matthew Emmons / FOX Sports Nov 23, 2015 at 12:14p ET Two days after criticizing the play calling and the performance of the coaches in Ohio State’s loss to Michigan State, running back Ezekiel Elliott released a statement on the matter.  Elliott, who questioned why he did not get more than 12 carries against the Spartans and said the players were not put into position to succeed, followed up Monday by saying he was “sorry for all those offended.”  Shortly before Elliott posted his statement, Ohio State coach Urban Meyer told reporters in Columbus that Elliott had already apologized to him and would face no punishment as a result of the matter.  After suffering their first loss of the season last week, the Buckeyes are underdogs this week at Michigan.  View Comments Hide Comments Send feedback on ournew story page Ohio State’s Ezekiel Elliott releases statement following postgame comments UP NEXT : Send feedback on ournew story page
