OSU football journal: Emmanuel Ogbah clarifies comments

Emmanuel Ogbah, the Cowboys’ defensive star, felt the need to clarify postgame comments in the aftermath of his team’s 58-23 loss to Oklahoma on Saturday night. Seated before reporters, Ogbah was asked for his thoughts on the game. Said Ogbah: “They were better prepared and pretty much out-coached us. We were out-coached.” Ogbah’s tone was low-key, not defiant. Nothing like Ohio State’s Ezekiel Elliott the week before, when he called out the Buckeyes coaching staff for not giving him enough carries in a loss to Michigan State. Later, via Twitter, Ogbah offered more: “Wasn’t blaming anyone, we lost as a team! We celebrate together and we grieve together!” And in another post: “Still love all my brothers! And the coaching staff, tough loss but we still have a bowl game to play!” So, what about the earlier response? OSU players regularly arrive to press conferences repeating what they’d been told by the coaches in the locker room, almost as if they’re following a theme.
