Bishop Gorman defensive lineman verbally commits to Ohio State

Players who helped Gorman build its dynasty of seven straight state championships are on the rosters or verbally committed at major programs from Notre Dame to USC, while others have already graduated. Add perennial national power Ohio State to the list. Rising senior defensive lineman Haskell Garrett verbally committed to the 2014-15 national champion Buckeyes this morning, picking them over a who’s who of programs such as Penn State, Notre Dame and Texas A&M, which also made offers. The 6-foot-2, 280-pound Garrett is a four-star recruit by Rivals.com and has been one of Gorman’s best defenders in its back-to-back mythical national championship seasons. He joins class of 2017 teammates Bubba Bolden (USC) and Tate Martell (Texas A&M) who are verbally committed.
