Ohio State Building Deep 2017 Recruiting Class

Posted on February 13, 2016 At the end of the 2016 cycle, head coach Urban Meyer led his Ohio State Buckeyes to the No. 4 class in the country, according to 247Sports.com. Meyer is no stranger to recruiting at a high level, though, and bringing together a talent-laden group of collegiate athletes has been the foundation to many of his teams. In an effort to make a wave on the recruiting trail once more, Ohio State is off to a quick start in the ’17 cycle as well. Just two weeks removed from National Signing Day, the Buckeyes currently boast the most committed prospects in the country with 11. And with that, OSU is ranked No. 1 overall in the country with a 92/100 average prospect ranking based on the 247Sports.com system. Ohio State gained its first pledge when local Akron (Oh.) Archbishop Hoban quarterback Danny Clark pulled the trigger and committed to the Buckeyes in December of 2013. Standing at 6-foot-4 and 225-pounds, Clark is a good-sized pro-style passer with a live arm and solid leadership qualities. Clark, a 4-star prospect, checks in at No. 8 in the country. Since issuing his commitment, Clark has acted as an advocate for the Scarlet and Grey and put his recruiting skills to the test, first with his teammate, 4-star running back Todd Sibley. …
