Jim Harbaugh has been on a roll, everything he’s touched turned to gold. The satellite camps prior to last season. Spring practice on spring break in Florida was creative and ground-breaking. Getting involved in a so-called Twitter war with Ohio State? Not so smart. Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith reportedly said about the Wolverines’ spring practices in Florida, “If we were jump-starting our program, I’d probably try to do that, too.” Advertisement Harbaugh responded on Twitter with: “Good to see Director Smith being relevant again after the tattoo fiasco. Welcome back!” Why? Harbaugh and Michigan have been making significant progress. The fact Smith, who later apologized for comments his fan base actually loved, would even take a shot at Michigan – like those from the SEC and ACC recently – is proof Harbaugh is doing the right things.
