Ohio State to attend satellite camp in Georgia

If Georgia coach Kirby Smart didn’t like Jim Harbaugh and Michigan holding practices in Florida, he really won’t like this news. Urban Meyer and his Ohio State coaching staff are slated to participate in a satellite camp at Central Gwinnett High School in Lawrenceville, Ga., on June 16, 247Sports.com reported. 2016 PREVIEWS: Ohio State | Michigan | Alabama “I got a call from the Ohio State high school relations department, and they asked me if I was interested,” Central Gwinnett coach Tom Wofford said. “I built a relationship with Coach Meyer and the staff from when they recruited Trey Johnson. They felt our high school, with the castle in the background, would be a good avenue to be our guest at our camp.” Central Gwinnett is home to more than just an outrageous, castle-style press box, it’s also where top 2017 recruits OT Tony Gray, DT Emmanuel McNeil and 2018 QB Jarren Williams suit up on Friday nights. “With us being in Gwinnett County and all the talent we have here, it made sense,” Wofford said. “I thought it would be a good opportunity for our school to have such esteemed guests assist in our camp.” Wofford said he planned on inviting Georgia State and Georgia Southern to the camp, but the Buckeyes’ presence, a possible response to Michigan’s plan to attend Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove’s camp June 2, will certainly headline the day.
