Penn State-Ohio State game set for another prime-time start

Penn State will play Ohio State at night for the fifth consecutive season, as ESPN on Monday announced an 8 p.m. start for the Oct. 22 game. Penn State already had announced the game as its ‘White Out’ event this season, so a prime-time kickoff was inevitable. Recent history suggested the same. Penn State and Ohio State will play at night for the fifth consecutive season and eighth time since 2005. The 2014 game went to overtime, which the Buckeyes won 31-24 on their way to a College Football Playoff title. The kickoff time was the first announced for the 2016 season, which might not include many night games for Penn State. Michigan already has said that it won’t host a night game this season. Penn State visits Ann Arbor on Sept. 24.
