Ohio State quarterback Stephen Collier has knee surgery

2:47 PM ET Ohio State reserve quarterback Stephen Collier underwent knee surgery Wednesday after suffering an injury in the Buckeyes’ spring game. A source confirmed that Collier tore the ACL in his left knee. The sophomore from Leesburg, Georgia, will likely miss the 2016 season. The site Eleven Warriors first reported Collier’s injury. After the surgery, Collier tweeted: “Love my Buckeyes man.” Love my Buckeyes man. — Stephen Collier (@S13Collier) May 4, 2016 He completed 4 of 11 passes for 154 yards in the spring game April 16 at Ohio Stadium. Collier competed with redshirt freshman Joe Burrow to back up J.T. Barrett this fall. Burrow impressed in the spring game, completing 14 of 23 passes for 196 yards with a touchdown and one interception.
