Which JT Barrett will Ohio State get next Season?

Ohio State will enter the 2016 college football season with a number of talented, yet inexperienced players starting their first game for the scarlet and gray this fall. They do have one familiar face however at the most important positions in all of college football in redshirt junior quarterback J.T. Barrett. In 2014, (Barrett’s first season as the starter) the 6’2? quarterback out of Wichita Falls, Texas had the most prolific season in the history of the program. Barrett threw 34 touchdown passes and just 10 interceptions, with three of those interceptions coming in Barrett’s first big game of his college career in his only loss as the starter that season against Virginia Tech. Barrett rushed for another 11 scores on the ground in 2014 totaling 45 total touchdowns and setting a Big Ten record. During the 2014 season, Barrett averaged 26 passing attempts per game. Ohio State used a perfect mixture of run and pass that season which lead to one of the most dynamic offenses in the country. When the Buckeye offense is at its best, Urban Meyer and company would like to achieve a number of 250 passing and 250 rushing yards. This is the type of balanced attack which led to Ohio State getting into the playoff in 2014 and beating two very good teams to win a national title. Though his reps were cut short due to the Cardale Jones saga last season, Barrett averaged just 13 passing attempts per game.
