With all the bad press coming out of college football lately, it is nice to see good things being done every now and then. Two Ohio State football players are part of a group of Buckeyes traveling to Jamaica this week as part of an effort with Soles4Souls, a charity group that gives donated shoes to underprivileged people throughout the world.Junior linebacker Raekwon McMillan and junior offensive lineman Billy Price will join nine other student-athletes and three staff members as they spend time volunteering for a week.McMillan was a finalist for the Butkus Award, given to the nation’s outstanding linebacker, last season as he led the Buckeyes with 119 tackles. The playmaker is excited about the trip.“I have never traveled outside of the country before, but I’m glad I have this opportunity to do so and for a good cause,” McMillan said per a statement released by Ohio State. “I look forward to sharing my experience with friends and family.”Price has been a starter on the offensive line for the past two years, starting in all 27 games and helping pave lanes for first-round draft pick Ezekiel Elliott.“I am looking forward to representing the football team and to further develop myself as a person and gain a new found perspective of the world,” Price said.Ohio State collected more than 1,050 pairs of shoes through a drive earlier this year as part of their BuckeyesCare initiative.MORE: Ohio State Football Preview, Keys To Success, Prediction
