Campus Insiders: Five-star QB Tate Martell could end up at Ohio State, Alabama, Michigan… Cal?

Hmmm. Let’s make no mistake. Tate Martell is up for grabs, which makes it very unlikely he’d end up being a California Golden Bear. The former Texas A&M quarterback decommit does have a good relationship with Jake Spavital for sure. Could it be enough for Martell to consider the Bears? Right now, it seems like Ohio State is the leader in the clubhouse. Campus Insiders outlines why the Buckeyes are the probable leaders for Martell. Zooming in on the last few months, Martell took an unofficial visit to Columbus, Ohio and called Ohio State his “dream school,” which makes sense considering both his father and grandfather went there. After that, Martell sent out a cryptic tweet regarding the Buckeyes’ “Zone 6.” On Wednesday, Ohio State quarterbacks coach and co-offensive coordinator Tim Beck went to Las Vegas to visit Martell, who subsequently decommitted from Texas A&M. Other programs like Alabama, UCLA, Michigan and Oregon are also mentioned.
