Ohio State’s ban on blue to be lifted for one special day Don’t wear the color blue around head coach Urban Meyer or Ohio State’s football facility. Lou Holtz learned that the hard way, as well as one unfortunate Ohio State student at a scrimmage earlier this year. Meyer has banned blue—the main color of hated rival Michigan—at practices and events with his Buckeyes, but he’s going to make an extremely rare exception this upcoming week. The special workout will cap a “Patriot Week” of seminars about voting and democracy. Meyer explained: That’s going to be what we call a Memorial Day workout.
