Michigan, Ohio State to hold satellite camps at St. Thomas Aquinas

St. Thomas Aquinas will play host to a pair of the country’s most successful college football coaches next month. Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh and Ohio State’s Urban Meyer will both lead separate satellite camps at Brian Piccolo Stadium, as the two aim to further strengthen their recruiting ties in South Florida. Harbaugh and the Wolverines will descend upon Fort Lauderdale first as they’ll host a camp on June 3, along with the coaching staffs of Syracuse and Stetson. It will be the second straight year Harbaugh has worked a camp in Broward County. The coach’s local recruiting efforts paid off as the Wolverines signed three Flanagan players in February, with Devin Bush Jr., Josh Metellus and Devil Gil all inking with the school. Michigan’s bitter rivals will come to town two weeks later, with the Buckeyes holding their camp on June 16. Meyer will be joined by coaches from Mississippi State, Arizona, Boston College and Florida Tech as well. Meyer was in South Florida a year ago as well, holding a camp at FAU. The Buckeyes also came up with a major recruiting haul in February, nabbing St. Thomas Aquinas defensive end Nick Bosa and Coconut Creek wide receiver Binjimen Victor. …
