OSU has enough to fill the RB void left by Ezekiel Elliott

Now that Ezekiel Elliott is donning the Dallas Cowboys silver, blue and white uniform, Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer is looking to retool the Buckeyes at the running back position. Last season, the biggest question was who was going to start at quarterback. The three-way competition between Cardale Jones, Braxton Miller, and J.T. Barrett dominated the headlines throughout much of the spring and summer. This year, the Buckeyes are looking at several backs to see if they can fill the void left by Elliott’s departure. In his last two years at OSU, Elliott gained 3,699 yards and scored 41 touchdowns. He averaged 6.6 yards per carry. Indeed, filling that void is easier said than done, but Meyer and his coaching staff will figure it out. The problem is just matter of experience. Fifth-year senior Bri’onte Dunn was Elliott’s backup last season and is the only back on the Buckeye roster with any kind of game experience.
