Michigan baseball dumped by Ohio State, 8-3, in B1G tourney

Michigan baseball.(Photo: Timothy D. Easley, DFP) In its Big Ten baseball tournament opener, Michigan fell to rival Ohio State, 8-3, at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Neb. The No. 5-seed Wolverines (35-19) held a 2-1 lead in the fifth inning, but the No. 4-seed Buckeyes broke through in the bottom half for six runs off U-M starter Brett Adcock (7-5) to essentially run away with the win. The Bucks (39-17-1) were led by Nick Sergakis, who went 3-for-5 with a homer and two RBIs. Ronnie Dawson was 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Drew Lugbauer homered for the Wolverines, who are 6-10 in their past 16 games. The Wolverines will now play No. 1 Minnesota in the losers bracket at 2 p.m. …
