The Ohio State University has announced their 2016 Hall of Fame class. This year’s class is composed of eight former athletes who will be part of a halftime ceremony September 10th during the University of Tulsa/Ohio State football game. Former Buckeyes men’s basketball player Evan Turner headlines the 2016 class. The other members of this year’s class are Justin Kronauge (men’s tennis), John Machado (baseball), Jantel Lavender (women’s basketball), Randall Larson (diving), Sam Marder (softball), Dan Taylor (track and field), and Paul Zelenak (pistol). Lavender was the fifth pick in the 2011 WNBA Draft by the Los Angeles Sparks. She just started her sixth season with the team. In her career, Lavender has averaged 9.1 points and 5.2 rebounds.
